if you’re snapping a picture or recording or streaming video. Meta has made that LED brighter, larger and more obvious than with its first pair and disables the camera if you try to obscure the LED light. Still, a lot of bystanders might not be aware that you’re using the glasses’ camera, so I make it a habit not to include anyone in a picture without getting their permission.

Unlike most earbuds, people near you can’t see that you’re wearing speakers near your ears. My wife complains that she can’t tell if I’m listening to audio in her presence when she wants me to be able to listen to her. My only complaint is that if I get a text message while wearing the glasses, it automatically reads it to me, even if I’m trying to concentrate on a conversation or perhaps a movie, TV show or live event. Of course, you can turn off the power switch and disable all features, including incoming audio.

The glasses come with what looks like a standard Ray-Ban case, but it’s also a charging case. You can plug it in or take it with you to recharge the glasses from the case’s battery, which, Meta says, will give you up to 36 hours of use. Without a recharge, it seems to get about 3 to 4 hours of use based on my experience. When the battery dies, all of the features stop working except the glasses themselves. They’re just ordinary lenses.

Because I have a prescription and need to wear glasses all the time, these are a great enhancement, which I love to use to listen to audio and make calls on walks and bike rides and, sometimes, when I’m home. They might also be a good solution for those who don’t need to wear glasses but routinely wear sunglasses while outdoors. In terms of cost — a pair of regular Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses retail for $221 so the smart features add $108 to the cost, though you might be able to get these products for less than the full retail cost. Frames for prescription glasses vary widely, but if you need new glasses anyway, it’s worth considering getting smart ones. Amazon also offers prescription ready Echo Frames, with Alexa built-in for about $200.

What is a private studio?

The Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios program is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the places where art was made. We are a coalition of independent museums that have come together to celebrate and investigate creativity. Every place in the HAHS program was the home and working studio of an American artist. Each of these places is now devoted to understanding and explaining how an artist made their art. In fact, some of our sites represent an artist couple, or an art colony; these places demonstrate complex artistic interchange. We join the dialogue between art and the space where it was created. Background — Tesla Semi

Elon Musk told employees, “it’s time to bring Tesla Semi to volume production.” Soon thereafter, Tesla indicated that some deliveries to customers would take place this year. On the other hand, Mr. Musk has also implied that Semi deliveries are being held up by a lack of sufficient battery cells—most recently in a tweet in which he said Tesla was “cell-constrained right now.”

At the launch, Tesla said the Semi, a Class 8 truck with an 80,000-pound capacity, would have 300-mile and 500-mile range options, priced at $150,000 and $180,000, respectively. Few details have been offered since, but Tesla-watchers are expecting to see an updated spec sheet for the production version soon. The Tesla Semis are part of PepsiCo’s plans to turn its Frito-Lay Modesto, California, site into a zero-emission facility. “To date, the equipment and infrastructure in place at the site includes nearly 60 tractors, box trucks, yard trucks or forklifts powered by electric, lithium-ion technologies or natural gas with renewable attributes, with the remaining 15 electric tractors expected to deploy later this year,” says Pepsico. “Infrastructure to support the project incorporates an adjacent natural gas station with renewable attributes, as well as solar carports, battery storage, truck charging systems and employee electric vehicle charging stations.”

What Is a Motorcade – An Overview
A motorcade is a procession of multiple vehicles that transport and protect a high-profile VIP. They move fast and don’t stop anywhere along their route. While a presidential motorcade may have anywhere between 40 and 50 vehicles, a non-presidential procession that doesn’t form part of a military convoy should have four to eight cars.

Its specific structure reflects the nature of the escort, as well as its unique requirements. Any non-essential vehicle should be excluded. Where possible, all vehicles should conform to the same performance standards. Depending on where they’re driving and the nature of the potential threats, all aspects of the vehicles, including the doors, door panels, windows, and undercarriage, should be ballistically-protected.
