Trillions of evStation’s are possible. On-demand and pre-arranged electric vehicles (EVs) including recreational vehicles are planned for at-location charging.
The actual number of electric vehicle charging stations is proportional and relational number of operating electric vehicles, including consideration for new purchasers operators and Private transportation fleets (including potentially Robotaxing services, without drivers and passive drivers operating immediately).
It’s not necessary to have a trillion charging stations. Internal combustion engine refueling stations reportedly numbered to be over 100,000 independent location he’s having a number of pumps. Refueling vehicles at home or other at other properties by the vehicle owner are rare. Practically nonexistent.
Tesla and Ford separately have a significant number of electric vehicle charging stations independently and now under reciprocal agreement EV owners can charge at other’s location in the future. Between home charging and Tesla/Ford opening charging to all electric vehicle owners prospectively, about 20% of the charging infrastructure needs are potentially in place at this time. This might mean that 80% charging infrastructure required, including home charging, needs to be independently developed.

Rapid development of temporary and semi-permanent charging stations is enabled with simplicity of design no civil engineering. Planned for Stations, utilizing existing paved streets with proven traffic calming methods, and parking lots: shopping centers and others. No plans for paving or canopies.
What3words Application on Smartphone enables, and works with Google Maps and Google Earth visually.

Participants are the Consumers and Providers provide under the Platform model. It’s not the franchising model. Not defacto franchising. No geographic exclusivity or same name requirements and many others aspects.
Venues selected for fun, playfulness, culture activities and other purposes, while waiting for charging.
Public Properties including on Street locations plan to be supported with charging. Private properties including indoor parking garages plan to be fully supported.
Opt-in property owners can opt-in to charging program including electric vehicle

Most likely a lost leader, significant upfront development cost and little revenues resulting in a terrible rate of return on investment (ROI). The solution to recharging electric vehicles is not the responsibility or domain of electric vehicle manufacturers.
Ford motor vehicle company has been in business for a long time, and don’t see any Ford gas stations or other vehicle manufacturers.
EV manufacturers developed charging networks to encourage vehicle to purchase EVs. That requirement has concluded, public policy is influencing the buying habits of vehicle owners towards electric vehicles.
It’s now time for independent private sector to fulfill electric vehicle charging requirements, including innovative home charging solutions.

Tesla’s is a great original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of electric vehicles. Elon is a brilliant product architect. Tesla designing, developing and operating charging stations is strange.
You do not see any General Motors or Ford petroleum gas station? Ford does have EV charging stations. In the future EV owners reportedly will be able to charge at both Tesla/Ford charging stations.

Last year, we reported on Tesla’s Supercharger V4 design being revealed in the plans for a new station. Tesla is believed to be ramping up production of the new charger in order to start deployment soon. The new charger is expected to feature a potential for a higher charge rate (which is currently capped at 250 kW for the Supercharger V3) and a solution to allow CCS charging for non-Tesla electric vehicles.
The CCS solution was later revealed to be the Magic Dock, but we have only seen it deployed on Supercharger V3 stations, and the V4 had yet to show its face until now.
Now we learn that Tesla has started to deploy the new Supercharger V4 with a station being spotted under construction in Harderwijk, the Netherlands:

To make what3words precise enough to refer to an entrance or parking spot, it needed to be accurate to a 3m square. This meant we needed 57 trillion addresses to cover the world, and three words allowed us to create 64 trillion addresses – covering the entire world with quite a few spare! If we’d used only two words, we’d only have had enough for 1.6 billion squares

Satellite space communication system by SpaceX (Starship vehicle & Starhome properties supported) by Starlink
Energy Storage by Tesla planned.
Traditional petroleum stations for internal combustion engine (ice) design and development model is not necessary to follow for electric vehicles (EVs).
Nothing about petroleum gas stations should be considered or followed. No need for site locations to be located for consumers response. Overhead canopies for shade or weather protection of consumers is not necessary or practical.
Making canopies solar panels enabled does not justify the cost and expense. Solar generation better to be produced and at other locations more cost effectively, efficiently and sustainably.
Electric vehicle stations do not require large underground stores of flammable liquids.
EV Stations development starts with new vision, innovations and plans.
Electric vehicles home charging must factored as a component of transportation. Ability to generate electricity for vehicles, by vehicle owners is a significant consideration for electric vehicle transportation.
