The biggest visible change is the panel, as Apple is adopting not just one OLED display, but two in tandem called Ultra Retina XDR.
OLED screen technology is significant. The display is capable of 1,000 nit peak brightness in standard use (1,600 for HDR), a 120Hz refresh rate, and better color accuracy.
Inside, Apple has leapfrogged M3 and packed this with an M4 chipset. This second-generatipn 3nm chipset packs up to a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, making faster, at CPU tasks, and more powerful at GPU work.
On top of this, including ProRes and AV1 support and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Plus, that new generation Neural Engine is capable of big things with upgrades allowing it to run 38 trillion operations per second (TOPS).

IPAD PRO 2024: Software:
Apple, introduced a new version of the Final Cut Pro software that’s designed to run on the iPad, introducing capabilities designed specifically for the M4 iPad Pro.
A new Live Multicam feature allows users to capture up to four different angles of a single scene using connected iPhones and iPads. To make this feature work, Apple has created a Final Cut Camera app that captures video from each of the devices and feeds it into Final Cut Pro.
Users can get a director’s view of each camera in real time, and the settings can be adjusted from the Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 app. There are options for tweaking exposure, focus, white balance, ISO, shutter speed, and zoom to get the perfect shots. Preview clips are passed through to Final Cut Pro and then replaced with full-resolution files so users can quickly move from production to editing.
Final Cut Camera is available as a standalone app and in addition to feeding footage to Final Cut Pro, it can be used as a video capture app for recording video with precise manual controls.
The updated Final Cut Pro for iPad app supports external projects, so users can create or open projects on an external device and import media without taking up iPad storage space.
Apple added additional customization options to Final Cut Pro, including 12 color-grading presets, eight basic text titles, 20 soundtracks, and new dynamic backgrounds.

Apple unveiled the all-new Logic Pro for iPad 2, delivering breakthrough professional experiences for songwriting, beat-making, producing, and mixing. Powered by artificial intelligence, the new Logic Pro introduces incredible studio assistant features that augment the music-making process and provide artists help right when they need it — all while ensuring they maintain full creative control.
These features include Session Players, which expand the popular Drummer capabilities in Logic Pro to include a new Bass Player and Keyboard Player; Stem Splitter, to extract and work with individual parts of a single audio recording; and ChromaGlow, to instantly add warmth to tracks. Logic Pro for iPad 2 and Logic Pro will be availability soon.
